The Chennai born Sundar Pichai was named the new CEO of the World’s largest search engine and software giant.

The Sundar Pichai has come a big way from being a middle class family of Tamil Nadu. Here, we are offering some interesting facts about the new CEO of Google.

The Sundar Pichai has born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, In 1972. The full name is Pichai Sundararajan.

His father, is an electrical engineer, had to save money for three years to buy the new scooter, but made sure Pichai and his brother had the best education the family could afford, at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan.

Sundar Pichai has completed his schooling at PSBB, Chennai and VanaVani and he has also led the cricket team there, leading the victories in the Tamil Nadu regional cricket tournament.

Sundar Pichai is an IIT Kharagpur alumnus, which is listed in the Top 10 Engineering Colleges in India and graduated in 1993 having studied metallurgical and material engineering.

Sundar had a stint at McKinsey & Company as a product engineer before he joined Google.

He is joined Google in 2004. At first, he worked behind the scenes developing the Google toolbar. He is also helped to launch the Chrome browser in 2008. After successfully launching Chrome, Pichai was promoted to vice president and then senior vice president at Google.

Pichai is married with Anjali and has a daughter and a son.

According to TechCrunch, Google eventually awarded Sundai Pichai $50 million, respectively, to keep him from leaving Google to Work for Twitter.

According to Full Net Worth, Pichai’s net worth is $150 million. He’s also a member of the board of advisers at Ruba, Inc. And he was formerly the director of Jive Software.
